Disappointing Support for User Manual

This range was fairly new in the home that I purchased 2 years ago. There was no manual. I downloaded the 18-page Owner's Manual from the internet, but this does not instruct how to use the appliance. It describes how to install and clean. I called the customer service department and was told this is the only manual. Am I to believe this appliance has no user instructions? My Samsung dishwasher and refrigerator each have 60+page User Manuals. Surely Whirlpool can do better than this.

The Worst Oven In America

This is the worst oven in America. DO NOT BUY. Wildly inaccurate temperature control, despite recalibrating dozens of times. ™€œConvection™€ is a joke. Upper oven is great if you want your food burnt and frozen in twice the time. I have to squat down to Masalana pose to cook anything in the lower oven. If your recipe says to preheat to 350, save yourself the headache and crank that baby up to 625. Nothing cooks consistently. ™€œAmerican Made™€ must mean a return to our colonial roots as I am forced to stand next to the oven for the duration of cooking to make sure things aren™€™t burning, like my great-great-great-great-great grandmother did durning the revolutionary war period. I can™€™t wait to take a sledgehammer to this absolute piece of trash!

Enjoying My Range!

Although I do enjoy having dual ovens, the bottom one is so low that it can be awkward to use. I like using the smaller oven on top when I am cooking something that needs less space. The smaller top oven seems to run hotter than the larger bottom oven, so I usually set it at least 25 degrees lower than the recipe calls for. The sound of the timer alert is softer than I would like, so I don't always hear it when it goes off. Also, the timer setting buttons do something strange when I need to add more cooking time after the timer has gone off. In this situation, pressing the timer buttons causes the oven temperature to reset to whatever time I've entered, causing me to have to turn off the oven and reset the temperature. This has happened enough times for me to realize it's not just my human error of pressing the wrong button. Other than these issues, I am pleased with the ovens. The surface burners work well, too, with lots of options for different sized pans. I also like using the warmer area on the stove top. It has been easy to keep the top surface clean and looking nice.

Ovens cook differently

The top smaller oven cooks waaay faster than the bottom oven (which is obvious I guess) but I burn things all the time in the top oven even if I do the bare minimum time suggested. I placed a batch of cookies in both ovens at the same time and the bottom oven cookies were perfect and the top were burnt.

Having four burners, and two ovens, but only one timer is just ridiculous. You could at least have two timers for each oven and the ability for a timer to keep two different times. My old stove used to be able to do that and I purchased it over 20 years ago. I don™€™t understand how you would have so much bells and whistles, but no way to keep track of all your cooking along with it. If I had known this, I would not have purchased the machine. Also, there are little to no instructions on how to use the different features on the stove.

Being retired, we didn't need a large oven except when family visits. The smaller oven is perfect for us. The ceramic top is great being easily cleaned. The only complaint is common with almost all ovens - the light is in the rear so it glares in your eyes and doesn't efficiently illuminate the food making it difficult to judge doneness.

Purchased this oven in May 2026 as our current one final died after 30yrs. We select this one based on previous Whirlpool products. I will start with that we love the way the oven cooks. However, since the first burn off we have had issues with the outside surface heating up to 140+deg. I've called place of purchase; after coming out they told me this was normal temp range even after my grandson burned his hand. They would not take product back unless and authorized repair dealer for Whirlpool to look at it. The came out and his comment was this is normal and Whirlpool does not regulate or have a temperature limit for this outside surface. I can tell you that all my friends and family that have bought new oven from varies manufactures over the last year do not have this issue. This is very wrong and I'm very disappointed.

I bought this a little over a month ago and am extremely disappointed. I replaced a double oven LG which I had for ten years and loved. While this oven looks great it is not easy to operate the tri area burner is a nightmare and you cannot trust the dial as it isn't accurate compared to the LG the oven racks feel flimsy and the controls make no sense as to the arrangement. one button does the oven light for both ovens sometimes the timer turns off the oven at the same time. I absolutely hate this oven and will donate it for a tax break and buy another LG. Super unhappy with a name I trusted!

I haven't had my new stove long enough to try out all of the features but the ones I have used work great! I love the timed bake as well as all the different sizes of burners on the cooktop. I'm a little disappointed that it's shorter than my countertop although the delivery man told me the feet were turned up as high as they will go. I hired someone to come and take a look at it. Very happy with my purchase! (4 stars for design because it cannot be pushed back very far because of the cord)

worst stove I have ever owned

I bought this not too long ago, and right from the start, the biggest burner only has one setting, high!! At first I didn't realize what was going on. The second biggest works but also is sluggish. The top oven cooks unevenly every time. If I am baking cookies or muffins, the ones toward the back of the stove always burns, when the ones near the door is just done. So it has been very frustrating, especially since the warranty is over. Oh and one must be very careful opening the bottom oven door to not hurt your toes, cause the door opens all the way to the floor.

Glass Top Used Once

Placed this oven in our second home. Used one burner one time and it developed bubbles / circles on the underside of the glass. Haven't even used the ovens yet. Very disappointed. I'm sure the other burners will look the same. Shameful that an expensive unit like this will look so ugly in our newly remodeled kitchen. Now we will have to buy a cover to hid it when not in use.

Will take time to get use to

I bought thus range less than a month ago and am still trying to get use to it. Even without convection but just regular bake, our food cooks faster. We have burnt several biscuit tops. The bottom oven is pretty low to get pans in and out of. Using a flat non-stick cookie sheet, we have to turn it sideways. Otherwise it hits when the door closes. If my wife would have known what she knows now, she said she wouldnt have gone with this type of oven, but a regular range. On a positive note, im excited to try out the self cleaning oven. The glass top is easy to clean. Cooking things on the burners serms to heat water faster. The range looks great in our kitchen, giving a nice modern and sleek look. It just going to take some time to get use to.

What happened to Whirlpool Quality?

By this time if leaving this rating, I've actually have have 3 - yes, THREE different Whirlpool Stainless Steel Double Ovens delivered. The first one, within an hour of delivery, the LCD screen stopped working, so I had the exact double oven replaced. On the second Whirlpool Double oven, the bottom oven door was loosed. It was not a big deal; however, I didn't think that minutes after the delivery of a new $1400 range oven - that I should have to call the warranty to have the door repaired since it was not the responsibility of the delivery service. So, I had the second one replaced. I received the third Whirlpool Double Range Oven and so far after a month - I haven't had any problems; however, ALL three deliveries had greasy, heavy duty oil finger prints on the bottom half of the range oven. I presumed it was from the delivery and on the third delivery, asked the delivery drivers if they could use gloves. However, the oily fingerprints were on the range over before they were unboxed - so apparently, the fingerprints are happening at the manufacturing company and no one is inspecting the final product. It's a stainless steel double range oven and I didn't want to use harsh chemicals, but I did use heated stainless steel wipes that does not remove the fingerprints.

Also keeping food warm when cooking multiple dishes and things are ready at different times. My husband Wilson bought this from poorer during COVID around 2021/2022. With 2 years the goal handle for the top oven broke. Last year the front left burner started mulfunctioning. The heat control was not working it stayed on high no matter how low you adjusted it, now only one zone of the 3 Zones on the burner works, last month the front right burner started malfunctioning, now we cannot control the heat it stays high no matter weather you set it to low or medium. So within 3 years it has fallen apart. I had high regard for this brand because my previous one lasted 20 years! What I got is a lemon

For the cost room for improvement

My only complaints so far are I had a Whirlpool range previously and the hot eye indicator was up front on the range so you could see it as you approached the range. It also indicated what eye was hot. This one only indicates on the rear control panel and it gives no indication which eye is hot. Also it doesn™€™t have heat level numbers on a couple of the control knobs. I ordered the range online and I probably wouldn™€™t have bought it if I actually went to the store and saw it up close.
