The grates do not work well with smaller pots, creating an unsafe situation as the pot rocks and tilts on the grate. Also, the simmer on the burners is set much too high, making it inconvenient to have to switch to the specific simmer burner when needing to simmer a dish. Hinged grates are heavy to lift for cleaning, another hazard if they come down on you. Grates are also hard to keep clean. Cook top looks nice, but it ends there.

Overall nice cooktop. Easy to change to LP. However, you cannot simmer on any burner. The flames are all to high. You can adjust but you need an extremely small screwdriver which I have not been able to find.

I've used my new cooktop for one week and it works very well. I had to get used to turning the knobs up to turn the heat down as the flame starts out on high. My old one (which was worn out) started on low and I turned it up to get a higher flame. I'm sure I will get used to the new one. It's easy to clean and fits perfectly where my old one was. It looks beautiful and the company was very accommodating when shopping.

Easy to Clean!

Just recently bought this after our 45+ year old cooktop broke down. It was a pain to clean it up. Now we have a 5 burner that is so easy to clean when necessary. My wife likes the cast-iron grates that lets you slide the cooking utensils to the other burners without having to lift them up to place them elsewhere. She will probably like it more as time goes by.

The gas stovetop does not produce enough heat to brown meat quickly. The technician that came to the house explained that the grates were too high. The solution was to turn up the volume of the flame on the burners. This helped. I like that the cooktop is easy to clean.

Better knobs??

I got this gas cooktop in a new build. I have not even used it yet. The only complaint so far is the knobs are made of plastic and should be made with a better, stronger material. One of the knobs was loose because the insert that holds it onto the shaft was missing. I emailed the company and they sent me a new part and it works correctly now. Happy because of that.

The one thing that I was pleased to discover was that the stove top was gas but was the original unit when the home was built. The burner adjustment knobs are well spaced and easy to control the flame size. The lift-up burner grills make for easy cleaning of the cooktop drip pan area around the burners; a very nice feature I have no complaints so far.

A Home Kitchen Chef's Dream...with cleanup

This was the dream cooktop I had ordered for my new home. Upon using it and seeing the various features I am not disappointed. The burners are spread out so most larger sized pots and pans do not crowd each other while cooking. The distribution of heat is even and immediate. I really appreciate the smaller simmer burner in the left back corner. The grate is stylish, substantial and easy to clean. For form and function 5 stars. I took 1 star away for ease of cleanup. The stainless surface around the burners looks amazing when clean and shiny...it's getting it there that is all the work. I feel it harder than normal to keep spotless after cooking. I ordered an aftermarket custom drip pad that covers the stainless and is easy to clean. Overall, I highly recommend this Gas Cooktop.

Good cooktop but the design could use improvement. The dimmer burner is on the back and should be in the front. My biggest complaint is Whirlpools install. The cracked our gas live, broke a pull out rack in the cabinet and didn™€™t set the flames correctly. It was a total waste for them to install. Now I have to figure out how to set the flames correctly.

This came with my new house and I really like it so far. Great adjustability of the flame, but can be hard to see the flame because the surface is shiny. I would prefer if the "OFF" position on the knobs was at the top, but I will get used to it quickly. Can't wait to cook more and get better acquainted with my new Whirlpool suite.

I purchased this new gas stovetop as part of an upgrade to my 25 year old kitchen appliances. The stovetop was simple to install with only the gas connection and a 120v plug in. The stovetop looks fantastic and works equally as well. It should be much simpler to keep clean than the older stovetop, and it has several nice features that were not on our original stovetop.
