Motion-Activated LED Lighting turns on inside as you approach, so you can see what's inside without opening the door. Lights will gradually dim and turn off when no longer needed.

Sabbath Mode (Star-K Certified)-5 to meet kosher requirements for use on the Jewish Sabbath and other religious holidays. Turning on Sabbath Mode disables automatic lights and alarm tones.

Very expensive non functional wine rack

Rwhit22 12/10/2025

Bought this with an extended warranty from a company that didn™€™t survive COVID closures so I was unable to figure out who to contact for warranty repairs. I finally gave up and had a repair man come take a look at it and was told the compressor is the issue and the cost to repair isn™€™t really worth it without any warranty. He suggested I contact KitchenAid directly to see if they could assist in any possible way to get it fixed, after holding for 3 hours the very best they could offer me was a 20% off coupon to buy a new one. What a disappointing waste of an appliance and a total scam. Every major appliance I own including my outdoor kitchen is all top of the line kitchen aid products (well over ($16k), I even had my parents get some of the same products. At this point I can™€™t see myself ever purchasing or recommending any kitchenaid appliance to anyone. Guess I™€™m lucky to discover this before we start remodel on our new property next year!

Does not hold wine bottles well

Poor rack layout 12/5/2025

It does not hold bottles of California Cabernet. The racks are too short so the bottles overlap and move into the adjacent spaces. Max six bottles in a eight bottle rack. Champagne does not fit in the top racks, the shelves are too small to accommodate the bottles so the rack does not go in all the way

Never again!

Sandy7 9/25/2025

You can see what I paid for this, not exactly cheap. Lasted for 3 years and I very rarely even open this. Won't hold the temp, alarm goes off every 4 hours. KitchenAid is ZERO HELP! They just want to sell me a extended warranty. Told me I need to put $551 on my card to roll a truck. I will never give them another penny! I guess I will look for a small business near me to try to fix once. If it happens, again, it will just be a very expensive wine rack. Lesson learned.

Downgrade, Not Upgrade: A Disappointing Step Back

louis.78 8/20/2024

Upgrading from the discontinued 2018 model (which replacement parts are no longer offered), I was hoping for improvements but was disappointed. While the aesthetics remain pleasing, the functionality has taken a significant step backward. The most glaring issue is the redesigned shelves. The reduced internal depth to 16 ¼ inches from the previous 16 1/2 inches renders the unit nearly unusable for standard European wine bottles. Fitting eight bottles per rack as advertised is misleading; it requires mixing and matching bottle sizes and shapes, which is impractical. Champagne, Prosecco, and many white wine bottles simply won't fit. Additionally, the shelves themselves are poorly constructed with broken rails and rough wood trim. The product's dimensions are also inaccurate. Stated as 38 3/4 inches tall, it actually measures 34 1/2 inches, preventing it from fitting under standard countertops. Overall, while the exterior maintains its appeal, the internal design and construction quality are a major disappointment.

we love our replacement KitchenAid Wine Cooler

JohnnyboySD 6/9/2024

We had our old KitchenAid wine cooler go bad after 10 years. I searched for other wine coolers, looked at reviews, went to a local appliance retailer and Home Depot. After consideration, we decided on another KitchenAid Wine Cooler. We are more than pleased! The new KitchenAid Wine Cooler is simply fantastic. It holds all of our wine bottles, separate cooling areas for red and white wine, it looks great, nice interior lighting and best of all: it is quiet!! I cannot recommend a KitchenAid Wine Cooler enough: Model Number KUWR214KSB

Wine Cooler - OK

KirbyPJ1 5/25/2024

Shelves are hard to pull out and are not adequate in terms of height for some bottles of wine. I had a different brand for years and left it behind when we moved. Same capacity but shelves much more user friendly.

Functional and Attractive

Cheri Dee 7/30/2023

This is our 2nd Kitchenaide wine refrigerator. We bought. A Wine Enthusiast unit for our temporary rental - the kitchen aid is so much better. It is quiet and the temperature is steady (the two zones are also a great feature). Definitely recommend!

Handsome and Functional Refrigerator

Aggiegirl79 1/25/2023

I bought this refrigerator to replace our previous Kitchen Aide wine refrigerator that we had for 10 years. It™€™s very sleek looking, and coordinates with my stainless steel kitchen appliances. I love having a wine refrigerator to store our wine at the exact temperature needed. Very happy with.the look and the quality.

Good-looking functional fridge

Foodie94 1/18/2023

I love the look and size of this fridge, it l keeps two separate temperatures and hold more wine than I can drink, but it makes this buzzing noise that aggravates my tinnitus, so I can™€™t stay long in the same room.

great fridge, but don't get the medallion set

bwang4 11/19/2022

just got the fridge, ordered back in May, but it was on back order. the fridge was worth the wait, it's an excellent fridge. HOWEVER, do not pay for the medallion set for $15. I purchased the red medallion set thinking the fridge might just come with plain black ones, but it came with red ones already. so basically I just paid $15 for no reason. Kitchen Aid should be more clear about that.

Disappointing Wine Fridge

Texas Ron 8/4/2022

I bought this wine Fridge after having a Sub Zero for 20 years. It™€™s disappointing because the racks are spaced to close to allow full utilization of the space. It limits the number of large bottles than it can hold.

Who designed this ? Not a wine drinker

JojoBaba Jr 1/23/2022

#1 white wine ? Chardonnay, but bottles do not fit this cooler, same for Pinot Noir. No one in production has obviously tried to put bottles in this cooler. The racks are inefficient to maximize space. Very disappointed in this appliance, especially for as much as I paid for it.

High Hopes - Fulfilled - and Exceeded!

LoLoGrains 10/11/2021

I took a good long time comparing wine coolers. I was initially impressed with ones of similar design from other high-end appliance manufacturers costing twice as much as the KitchenAid Panel Ready 46 bottle unit. Lower cost units were appealing for their cost savings but their construction was loose; things flexed and moved. The KitchenAid Model KUWR214XXX coolers were substantial, tight, and reassuring. Since the wine cooler will be part of my home bar cabinetry, I was drawn to the model that can accept a wood panel. I have the panel completed but haven't attached it yet. It doesn't appear it will be difficult. The wine cooler has been running for 4-5 days out in the free air and initially you can hear the compressor but not at all loud. Once the cooler came to temperature, the wine cooler was virtually silent; not drawing any attention when it cycled on/off. Set to the lowest temperature [42°] the upper section was spot-on (+/- 1°) and the lower section was a few degrees off [46°+/- 2°] but stable. Frankly, I don't have enough bottles of wine to attest to the capacity [I'm working on it!] but in the mean time it's great for bottled water, soda, beer... I'm pleased with my choice. One lesson learned and a slight note of caution: The initial turn-on of the Wine Cooler was delayed by the 'Cool On' selection on the control panel not being illuminated / operable. The unit appeared to 'boot' when plugged in to the wall by illuminating all sections of the control panel, then the two temperature displays came up as "66' '61' and when the display stopped it had only 'Cool Off' illuminated. [should have had 'Cool Off and Cool On' present. Second time, third time the same. After close inspection [looking for a switch or something] I discovered the door switch actuator wasn't moving smoothly and was binding in the hole in the lower panel. When it released, the 'Cool On' appeared and I was able to turn on the unit as per instructions. Afterwards, I removed the bottom panel that was binding and using a drill bit a size larger than the factory hole I was able to ream it out a few fractions and the actuator is moving smoothly... Do your research, but if you choose KitchenAid you will not be diappointed
