The purchase of this fridge was not pleasant. We were told we would receive a new one, out of the box. We received the floor model with no manual. The delivery people didn't bring the right water hose, told us to take care of it and left. The fridge was very loud at times (still is to some extent). We were told that this was normal when we called. We asked them to send someone to install the correct water hose. That person did not have the correct connector and would come back 3 days later. The loudest noise he told us was the ice maker looking for water. It had been dry pumping for a week. He turned it off and came back 3 days later to get the water connected. It was 10 days before we could get water from the fridge. Then we find out the color of our new, and what I thought was high end refrigerator has been discontinued so finding a matching stove would be almost impossible. While shopping for a new stove, NOT at Russel's of Neillsville where we purchased the fridge, we saw our refrigerator for $1,500 less! It was the floor model (so was ours) and it had a small scratch. I feel like we WAY overpaid for something that isn't as high end as I thought. I did write a letter to the manager of the store, and it has been a month with no response. I thought there should have been at least an apology for how this was handled. The fridge itself is nice and serves us well.

We bought this in April and installed in a new home in August after delays. We like the use and features. It has a pump noise that is loud enough to hear in the whole house at night. It happens during the day as well but less noticeable with all the kid running around.

I had high expectations understand the value of Kitchenaid... Love the fridge and the expert delivery and set-up. Disappointed with two things. 1) Plastic chrome on right vegetable crisper has sticky residue that I have not been able to remove fearing that further attempts will damage the finish. 2) Bottom drawer is not aligned leaving a crack that subsequently impacts the environment of the drawer. See photo.

We love this fridge/freezer! The black stainless is smudge free and after having the refrigerator for almost a month, I haven't had to clean a fingerprint off of it. The interior design is great, no wasted space in the fridge to accommodate the in-door water/ice dispense. The only thing I dislike about the freezer is the narrower divider pockets in each freezer bin. I've looked but there is no way to remove them without breaking them which I don't want to do. For us, that's wasted space since we have nothing that narrow to put in them.

The fridge is beautiful and functional. We bought an entire suite for new construction and it remained boxed until install last weekend. When we peeled the protective film off the door it took some of the black stainless steel film off with it. It is a small area but noticeable. That shouldn't happen with a $3000 fridge. I submitted this review almost a week ago and it has yet to be posted or acknowledged.

This fridge is replacing a fairly new one that had a lot of problems. So far, I like this Kitchen Aid much better than my previous brand. However, I would like to say that the old one seemed to have more room. Also, I do not like the pull-out platter holder thingy. All it does is take up room and has a lip that stuff has to be lifted over. That shelf area is for milk, orange juice and large bowls, etc. not serving platters. And it can't be removed. So far, the ice maker is wonderful. I don't like the push back shelf. It seems less stable and is uneven and it is not needed. It also seems harder to reposition than the other shelves. This fridge makes several mysterious noises. They really aren't noises I mind too much and except for one of them they aren't loud, but I wish I knew what each one is caused by. Overall, I am quite happy with this fridge and hope to continue being happy.

I purchased this refrigerator 3 weeks ago. The delivery crew was great and took extra car to place mats on both my hardwood and tile floors to avoid damaging them. They installed the water line and gave me a quick tutorial on how to run the control pad functions. After only a few days, I noticed water buildup on the top of the freezer door gasket. I wiped it off and it continued to form every day and I was concerned about mold/mildew forming. I contacted Kitchenaid and they arranged for a repair technician to visit but the earliest appointment was 10 days out. Fortunately this defect did not require immediate repair (such as loss of food due to low temp). The repair visit is still several days away so I don™™t have a cause diagnosis yet for why the water is forming and I™™m hoping whatever parts that may be needed to repair the problem are readily available. Otherwise it will require me to schedule another visit for the repair. Each repair visit will require me to adjust my schedule to be home as I am the only person in the household. I did not expect to run into a repair need so early for a Kitchenaid product! After I get the diagnosis and repair estimate I will update this review to reflect how simple or difficult it was to get the problem resolved.

We are pretty happy with the refrigerator itself, but the ice maker is pretty lousy. It makes a lot of noise and makes only a few cubes at a time. The ice storage container, which is in the door, must not be very well insulated or cooled because the cubes show signs of evaporation within a day, and the ice clumps up soon after. When dispensing the ice, even in cube mode, you need to have the glass or container as high as possible in the dispenser to prevent small pieces of ice spraying all over the floor.

We purchased the KitchenAid KRFF577KBS02 through Home Depot in May 2024. Shortly after, the refrigerator developed concerning noises. And there™™s now a sound that resembles a pigeon cooing combined with a high-pitched whirling, or similar to a car™™s squeaky fanbelt, and another noise that sounds like grinding or a muted hammer drill. We had a previous grinding noise that a service tech dismissed as normal, but these new noises are different, which couldn™™t be duplicated while the tech was here to evaluate on a second visit ™" and the original noise is still ongoing. These noises are load enough to hear from another room with a TV on and the volume up because I'm hard of hearing, lol. This is disappointing and for the premium price of this model, you would expect quieter performance.

Though it was cleaned from all the melting contents, the unit molded waiting 3 wks for Kitchen Aid to repair it. We want a NEW ONE!!! I™™ve had my fridge for about 2 months. Overall it™™s a nice fridge but the large drawer doesn™™t stay shut. When you open the door the drawer slides open. We also had finish issues with the front side of each drawer. It took 3 visits to get drawer fronts that are acceptable. They still don™™t look great though.

The only thing I am concerned about is the way the right hand door swings out and into its stop. If we aren't careful it hits the stop hard and I am worried that over time that may cause something to break around the hinges. Has this been a problem before with this model? Is there a fix for this? Other then that we really like it.

This is our 3rd kitchenaid frig. after replacing one from 2017 with many issues, then one in 2021 still having issues and now another one in 2025. Because we were having trouble with ALL of them. Many technician trips to our home. Each time Kitchenaid gave us an offer to bring yet another new frig at good price, which my husband took teach offer, Because my husband wants all of our appliances to match so we stayed with Kitchenaide. So we bought our 3rd frig at a discounted price yet again, trust me I had and still have reservations. The 3rd frig is identical to our last model "we were told", except now the interior has changed to a medium grey. Which I found out I Don't Like, It makes it quite hard to see things inside, its no longer white and bright. And they made the top shelves not as high as before, so I can no longer keep my coffee creamer up with my milk. Our 2 qt.milk and Oj containers just fit in the upper shelf, that is max height. The door shelves shrank, so we had to rearrange everything that used to be in the old frig. UGH!!!!! Now the freezer... its also grey inside, and let me tell you its dark inside!! Now I sometimes need a flashlight to rumage around the freezer cause the lighting is very poor!!! Need more lights. Lets hope the ice maker can hold up this time. Our very last model had plastic breaking into the ice bin.
