I have HAD to buy another fridge like this one as it a single door works in the space that I have. Single door fridges are practical and work better than DOUBLE DOORS where you have to work at getting into and out of your fridge.
After 9 yrs. it started to make a lot of noise, started rusting in the freezer compartment, started clunking and I got fed up with the nasty drawers especially the deli, where after 200 yrs of humans having to jiggle drawers side ways to open them, SOMEONE figured it out.. except KitchenAid.
Well, actually they did, when they were considered a top of the line brand.. quality. Their drawers that had rollers in the same older fridge models. However, they follow the typical corporate model of clawing back, dumbing down and cheapening their products AND then building in obsolescence. Notice that your printers die at 10K copies? It's all built into their timers where THEY DECIDE when you should buy another one of their appliances. AND THEY THINK THAT WE DON'T NOTICE? Remember the old fridges? I had a great 22 cu ft. Amana that lasted 20 yrs! What kind of a model is that for any corporation to follow. Who in their right mind puts plastic wheels into a dishwasher where the super high water temps will eventually degrade and break them down. All intentional. They have it all covered; cheaper to make and then.. yes YOU can pay to replace parts at a ludicrously high cost.
My older model had a sliding glass drawer. THEY TOOK THAT AWAY. My older model included the drawer mats included on the door bins. THEY TOOK THAT AWAY. ....they have changed little except the D handles where the older ones had a C and then they added a silly blob of colour at the ends of the handle. WOO HOO!!
Well, you say why would you buy it again???? Because this crappy piece of junk with its ugly drawer frames from the 1970's is the only thing that WILL FIT into my space. For people with smaller spaces, i.e., condos you will no longer, have the option of a single door fridge that looks decent is practical and isn't all PLASTIC. They had the gall to charge over 2700.00 for this fridge last year and I just couldn't stomach the idea of another one so I walked away hoping my fridge might just vanish one day. When it went on sale I had no options left.. it was the end. If you want a good quality fridge be prepared to spend a LOT of money for the quality consumers deserve. Otherwise settle for what is left, cheap plastic junk.

We purchased this brand because we liked the looks, liked the reviews about how quiet it was. Very quiet. The only thing I think needs more attention is the drawers, very awkward, cheap and not very easy to slide open and closed, especially when there are many things inside, I feel they will break easily.

Had it 4 years, mechanics work well ( old and freeze) pullout drawers bar had be replaced now two times. Fridge arrived without ice maker ( purchased with one) was later delivered and installed, lately not working properly, sporadic ice production and at times none.

It™™s smaller inside than our old refrigerator that was the same size. Should be quieter. Doors very sticky until I lubricated them. Freezer door hard to pull out when filled. Works well otherwise, very cold.

Very satisfied with the appliance. The only thing we could recommend would be dimmer light because the intensity of LED light is great during daytime but bit strong in the evening.

I would love to buy this model in white! I have one like this that was made in 2003 in white, and will need replacing. All my other appliances are white and are kitchenaid, and has been replaced, dishwasher, and built in oven in white. I hate french doors! Please have this model available in white soon, before my fridge dies!

It does the job well. Only two things I could suggest is less brightness with the lighting and also allow door to not swing out so easily too much.

Very disappointed in Kitchenaid. The refrigerator didn't come with an ice maker, and the optional add on spills ice all over the bottom of the freezer. There is no alarm for either door being left open.
Overall, feels very cheap!!

Je m'attendais à un nouvel appareil au fonctionnement silencieux. Surprise et dÃception! à chaque fois qu'il se met en marche, j'entend des vibrations et des bruits bizarres qui les accompagnent. Il y a aussi la qualità des accessoires et des composantes qui n'est plus celle de ceux de il y a 20 ans.

The doors don't line up. The bottom freezer door pulls out crooked on each side. The drawers inside are thin , feel cheap and don't slide easily. The optional (WHY!!) ice maker makes a high pitched squealing noise when the ice try fills, The doors don't swing shut unless you put the front feet down so far the fridge is a 1/4 bubble off level. The seams on the doors are aren't smooth. Ice spills out the back of the ice bin when full. We are very disappointed. Would not buy another KitchenAid appliance again.

Had a difficult time buying this refrigerator because it does not come with an ice maker installed. The website is terrible in terms of this because there are two parts: Buying the refrigerator and then having to find the right part is next to impossible! calling the phone number for customer support also required hours of wait time. The experience was quite harrowing it took several months to complete satisfactorily.

I bought this fridge in early June. I had owned a Kitchen Aid previously and it lasted 21 yrs and then the fridge died but the freezer still worked. I switched to the Kitchen Aid stainless steel, bottom pull out door style.
Initially , the glide door system did not pull out easily or close easily. It was part function of it not being levelled properly.
However even with the technician coming out to assess the problem and level correctly, I find that it still requires some tugging and occasional push to close. However the fridge seals well.
This model includes a wine bottle holder but there was no instruction in the manual.,basically it hooks/ hangs from a shelf on left side.
Fridges are not made as they used to be. Shelving is fine , adjustable , however the veggie and fruit crisper and bottom deli door are made with very light weight plastic so one wants to be careful with opening and closing because I can see that if opened aggressively or swiftly, the doors will break or at least crack. Perhaps not conducive for a busy family lifestyle.
However the unit is relatively quiet.

We have had this refrigerator for almost two months now, and I am very pleased. The refrigerator is spacious, the lighting is nice and bright. The shelves were easy to adjust. All of these features make it easy to see and reach for everything. The bottom freezer with the second shelf makes everything visible and easy to get. We have left the factory default settings as they were and have not experienced any issues with temperatures. I referred to the Kitchenaid site for cleaning the stainless exterior. Very simple and easy to do when needed.

We just received this refrigerator and unfortunately Didn™™t do our research before we purchased it. The drawers in this refrigerator are extremely flimsy and hard to close. I would™™ve never thought such an expensive refrigerator would be built so cheap.

We have a Kitchen Aid double oven and wanted to continue the™look™ with our new refrigerator. We had a 22cf Maytag that lasted 22 years, and thought the 22cf Kitchen Aid would offer the same storage capacity. However, the Kitchen Aid has less refrigerator storage, perhaps more freezer storage. The bottom meat/cheese drawer is flimsy and slides in and out with difficulty. We™™ve eliminated one refrigerator glass shelf to be able to properly store the food products we used to store in the Maytag (definitely a design issue). Noise level is slightly higher than the older Maytag. We hope this one will also last 22 years.

We just bought this with a suite of other KA appliances. The stove we got is lovely. But I hate this fridge. It is such a piece of junk. We had a kitchen aid fridge in a previous house and it was awesome - so nicely made. This one, however, is garbage. The plastic drawers are cheap and flimsy. It feels like they come off the tracks and are going to break literally every time we open them. The front door and freezer door feel thin and chintzy. This is not at all what our prior experience with kitchen aid was. We will never buy another fridge from them again. The Frigidaire is just as nice if not nicer at a lower price point. Very disappointed.

WHO makes a refrigerator today WITHOUT an icemaker?
Also find the plastic bins are cheap and not as sturdy as my previous Samsung.
Final price was much more than other equivalent models.

Having KichenAid appliances for almost 30 years, the quality has declined substantially! After saving for a few years to purchase this "top of the line" KitchenAid Refrigerator, within the first week of use I knew this was not a 'good' purchase. The door is heavy, to open it it sometimes gets stuck and I have to use both hands to open it. EVERY TIME I open the bottom freezer door, I have to double check that the door closes properly because it can easily be left ajar. The inside shelves feel cheap, in the last month I've cut my hand and finger on the edge of the drawer and the shelves. The drawers down pull out easily and they're 'off-balance' ... I have to use both hands to straighten it and close it. I have to continually keep wiping the exterior, because the finish shows every single hand/finger print on it. The handles protrude and are a bit bulky. I am disheartened because this product does not meet the KitchenAid standards ™" it's not built like the ones I've had years ago! It's basically an overpriced product ... and you're only paying for the brand name.

Looks good from a distance. Note that the other reviews about crisper and deli drawers not operating smoothly are correct. More significantly though, quality control in manufacturing seems lacking. In our case the upper main door did not line up with the drawer below it (off by about half an inch) but they shipped the refrigerator to us anyways. KitchenAid did agree to send us another unit, which was better, but still not perfect. We decided to live with it, and avoid the disruption of another delivery and re-installation.

We really like our new Kitchenaid refrigerator. It looks great both inside and out, we love the handle style and the fantastic illumination the lights provide. The bottom freezer is so much handier than our old top freezer. We couldn't be more pleased.

I™™m very happy with my Kitchenaid fridge with lower mount freezer. Our old Kitchenaid fridge was 25 years old.
It owed us nothing and gave us very little issue over the years. Wasn™™t sure if the freezer in the bottom but I am loving it. It™™s easier on my back, visually you see what™™s in the fridge all the way to the back so I actually find I™™m much more organized for meals and grocery shopping. My dogs are not liking it as they can squeeze themselves in the door to ™see™ what™™s going on in fridge. Loving it.

Worst customer service in the world! If I could give this ZERO stars I would! Had to wait over a month for the fridge to even ship. Then technicians said they couldn™™t install ice maker which I paid additional cost for to install because they said I didn™™t buy the ice maker. A $2000 fridge doesn™™t come with an ice maker which is seen in the photos?? Then tried ordering the ice maker and after paying they said it was on back order for 3 months! And said they wouldn™™t let me use the install payment I originally made towards the ice maker install once it does arrive in 3 months™¦ unbelievable™¦ so disappointed

Purchased this stainless steel fridge to replace our 20yr old Kitchenaid Refrigerator. The light inside the fridge is WAY to bright to open in the dark and we haven't been able to figure out how to take the panel off to remove at least one of the bulbs. You are also unable to remove the top bin of the freezer without major procedure. Our old one you could just lift it out. This makes for extremely difficult cleaning of the freezer floor. We also have not been able to figure out how to remove the divider that is in the top shelf of the freezer. It's placement makes you incapable of laying long items in there. Also, our old Kitchenaid had black sides and top. This one is a VERY UGLY gray. Who thought of that? Black paired nicely with any cabinets and wall color. The gray does not. And, the bottom drawer of the fridge runs the whole width of the fridge. You cannot open or shut this drawer with only one hand or it goes cockeyed on you. All in all, I wish we had not purchased it online. If there is a next time, we will go out to the stores to find one.

I purchased this fridge as well as a stove & dishwasher 4 years ago. We have been faithful KA customers for long time. This fridge which is still under warranty has now stopped working completely It has a blown compressor. WE have been dealing with this for 2 weeks now and our designated repair depot is now saying they have no one to work on it. We are told to find our own repairman pay for the bill then get KA to supply parts and then send the bill to KA for reimbursement. OR buy a new fridge with a 35% discount. THIS is not acceptable, we are 2 days before Xmas I have a family of 6 our food is spread out over the garage with NO Solution in sight. CAN Kitchenaid step up & fix or replace their warrantied product ?

I bought this refrigerator last November 2023. Since it arrived, we have had to have TWO new ones shipped to us based on manufacturing issues. The first one had faulty insulation. The second leaked. I have had more than 6 service calls for various issues. The third one is sitting in my garage as Whirlpool is unwilling to install their own product due to insurance. Customer service has not met my standard. It's a total mess.

This is a replacement for my 20 year old bottom mount KitchenAid of same dimensions. It has a wonderful capacity but as mentioned in other reviews the comparison of the components to my previous version is very sad to behold. The drawers are flimsy, do not run smoothly, the previous version had rollers and were smooth and substantial. The veg/fruit drawers' humidity control is especially cheap and it is easy to see how it can be damaged every time you open the drawer. A lovely looking refrigerator but a serious downgrade on my previous model.

I'm happy so far with the refrigerator, but very, very unhappy with my inability to talk to someone at KitchenAid. When I call the number for you, I get 4 or 5 options, none of which I can use to ask a general question. I didn't want electronic controls, I wanted mechanical controls but the salesman didn't understand me or maybe you don't sell mechanical refrigerators. So now I have to think about a surge protector. I want you to tell me what I need. I know about joules and wattage, but surely you must have some advice for me.

I bought this for our kitchen remodel to replace our old one. It is the perfect size for our kitchen and it is plenty roomy for everything. The adjustable shelves allowed me to arrange the shelves for how they work the best for us. It's plenty cold with the factory setting of 4. They ice cubes are a good size and the making of the ice seems to keep up with the use.

The fridge works great. The space available is fantastic and adjustable door organizers and shelves can be customized to how you want to use the fridge. The crispers and meat drawer are spacious. The pullout freezer drawer is sizable.

The refrigerator is just right for me. I can easily store my fruits, vegetables and left over casseroles on the adjustable shelves. The freezer portion works well with the pull out drawers and the ice maker is a generous size , we do not run out of ice even with company. Appreciate this model , you did a great job with this design.

Drawers are a bit small and cheaply made.
The freezer is not very convenient, not easy to access and small. (We had a Whirpool for 20 year. The freezer was also at the bottom with a door)

Pretty basic unit, convenient and functional. The only drawbacks are 1) if the crisper drawers are tilted just enough the right way the drawers will easily slide all the way out and drop on the floor if you are not careful. Also, the wide deli meats drawer design is too wide and the drawer will catch and get caught on either side when sliding back in.

The installation was a mess, calling customer support with a full extended warranty and still in mfg warranty period, was given a different fix or answer from different tech support personel. The gasket on the fridge door locks every time the door is pried open.

Purchased in July 2020 and received in June 2021. We love the refrigerator, but waited a year and still waiting on the ice maker we purchased with it. Seems they can't come up with the part to make it connect. One end is 4 pin and the other is a 5 pin!
