Amazed how quiet it is. I actually thought it wasn't working and opened it to see what I had done wrong. I use minimum dishwasher soap and yet everything comes out looking great and this is at the medium performance level. Love the bright stainless steel interior and or course love the third extra rack at the top. Great appliance.

Bought it about a month ago to replace our 19 year old Kitchenaide, which had some water issues which caused water to leak out onto floor and through the basement ceiling . Was able to remove old one and install new one myself. One of the reasons we bought this unit was because of the salesman Robert Wood, he knew about the different features and explained everything well. Alot better treatment from Rob, then what was received at other dealers.

I recently purchased a Kitchen Aid dishwasher and have nothing but good things to say about it. My only complaint is that every time I open it to put in dishes and silverware I accidentally touch the time and wash controls, which means I have to push the "cancel" button on the right hand side. A simple problem with a simple solution. It is very easy to load, the quality of the wash is outstanding, it is extremely quiet - could you ask for anything more? These people have been in business for more than 100 years and their dedication to quality assurance is consistent.

My appliance guy recommended this dishwasher to replace a Bosch that broke and was past the warranty period. My husband had died and there was too much going on for me to do my typical due diligence when making a large purchase. I trusted my repair/installation technician when he said that this is the most popular model he installs. After several weeks of use, I must say that I am not impressed. The top silverware tray is disappointing as the silverware slides around as the tray is pulled out and pushed in (and, no, it is not being done roughly). I sorely miss the little flip down shelves that were on the middle level of my old dishwasher. I use a lot of little prep bowls and there's no good place to load them in this machine without taking up lots of space. And what is with the handle that sticks WAY out?? I can't open the drawer beside the dishwasher without opening the dishwasher door a bit. Plus, I am tall and it is at an awkward height to pull open. Even with the heated dry, the dishes aren't dry after it runs. What's the point of heated dry? All in all, I would not recommend this model to anyone. It pales in comparison to the Bosch it replaced.

Love the new dishwasher but NOT the third top rack. Thankfully the rack from my previous dishwasher fit so I switched them out! There is no way I was going to use the top rack for forks spoon and butter knives! Sharp knives and small kitchen gadgets that need to have protected blades.

It™€™s just ok. The top rack barely fits anything besides standard silverware. I should be able to adjust that an inch lower. There should be a quick sheet for how to use based on details of the cycle. It makes a pounding noise intermittently throughout the cycles. Other than that it™€™s quiet for the whole 2-3 hours that it runs 🤦™€™™€ï¸ The gaps on each shelf are so wide that it™€™s difficult to load smaller items in an organized manner.

No respect for customer loyalty

I wish I could provide 2 ratings: a 0 for Kitchen Aid™€™s lack of commitment to customer satisfaction and loyalty, and a 5 for the dishwasher. We bought this one to replace our original KA dishwasher, bought 5 years ago. After only 5 years of use, the motor broke (a very expensive repair). The repairman also said he was getting an error code that indicated that there might also be a problem with the control board. Considering the expense of both these repairs, we chose to purchase a replacement. And, as no one wants to be without their dishwasher any longer than needed, we ordered right away, directly from KA. After the fact, I called KA to say that I would expect a dishwasher in this price range to last longer than 5 1/2 years. They said that if I had called BEFORE I made my purchase, they could have offered me 20% off the replacement, however, they could do nothing now. I expressed my disappointment that they were not more interested in rewarding customer loyalty and asked to speak with her manager. Thinking I would eventually move up the chain until I reached someone who cared about customer loyalty and could make this right, I continued to ask for managers until they said I had spoken with the highest person I could on the phone and that I would have to send an email. To their credit, I did receive a call within a timely manner. However, the content of the call was very disappointing. He told me, as if he was confiding in me™€"™€œlook, we only offer that discount as an incentive to get you to buy another KA.™€ It was already abundantly clear to me that their priority was to get the customer buy again and that they have NO respect for customer loyalty. I told him as much and he had no response, except to be offended. So apparently this lack of respect for customer loyalty resides at the highest levels of Kitchen Aid. And the icing on the cake is that a few weeks later I received an advertisement for an extended warranty. I guess they figure they™€™ve got you either way: if your machine breaks down within a few years of purchase, perhaps you will pay them more by purchasing an extended warranty with your next machine. The next time I purchase a kitchen appliance, I will look for a brand that cares about the quality of their product and will stand behind it. Apparently that rules out Kitchen Aid.

Overall works well. I miss the prong arrangement in the center of the middle rack that I had in the old Kitchen Aid. It held all my smaller plastic lids and smaller baking cups more efficiently. I would also like a no-heat dry cycle like my last model. This model leaves water drops on the lowest setting. I do like the deep racks that hold larger items though.

My goal was to buy a basic dishwasher, and the KitchenAid had all the features I needed. I discovered after installation though that the dishwasher was loaded with features that I hadn™€™t realized. This included a third rack for flat items, an adjustable center rack to allow greater clearance and a whole bunch of wash options. The capacity is amazing, the dishes come out spotless and this model is QUIET. I™€™m can™€™t tell it™€™s running until I scope out the LED panel.

I purchased this when my old dishwasher started leaking. It is extremely quiet which I really like. The shelves are lower than my previous dishwasher which I do not like. Also, I am not crazy about the big stainless-steel pull bar on the front. The one in the show room was missing the pull bar. I knew mine would have one but never envisioned this.

Worst Appliance Experience In My Entire Life!

I have never had such a run-around in my life. I purchased the dishwasher from the orange big box store. It was delivered about 2 weeks later.They did not install it, as I have someone who can do it more reasonably. It took a week, (one week!) for me to have it installed. The wash cycle lasts about 3 minutes, then says the dishes are clean. I called the store, I called your hotline...had a repair person scheduled, but then they had to reschedule. I was told by the store that it sounded like the motherboard. The appliance repair scheduler said that it's pretty common with a Kitchenaid. They are showing up tomorrow to diagnose the problem, but they do not stock parts, so this motherboard that I will need is sure to be back-ordered. There is no such thing as returning this to the store for one that works. The repair people have to show up twice before that could happen. Who wants a $1000 dishwasher that's been torn apart? What if this is the first of many problems? Also, the bill is due tomorrow, and I haven't been able to use it yet. Yes, I can call and object to paying for it, but I fully expect it will be a useless call. Did I mention that I have company coming mid-October? No one at Kitchenaid would just order me a new one when I explained that I will NEED a dishwasher before they get here. Awful experience with what I thought was a reputable company.

We had problems with this brand from the very start. The panel stopped working and only one (pro wash) button works. We did a service call but they were asking $600 to fix the panel, this dishwasher was not even a year old and you can buy a new dishwasher for that price. A couple months later, our dishwasher broke completely, it won™€™t wash and makes a loud grinding noise. It™€™s been 1.5 years with this product and we already had to buy a new dishwasher. The dishwasher isn™€™t the only KitchenAid product we™€™ve had trouble with either. At the same time we bought a double range oven and from the very start had problems with that. I™€™ve have 11 service calls on that product alone and the last service call, the service person out told me that KitchenAid is a terrible product if you actually use your kitchen. Who would have thought that you™€™d have to ask it the products actually work for for kitchen use before purchasing

Like everything about this dishwasher except the racks. The racks are the most important part, it™€™s where everything begins. These racks are so bad that I tried to reuse the ones from my cheap builders grade model. The thin top rack is useless, pretty much ignore it™€™s there. The glass rack isn™€™t flat so glasses fall over and cups don™€™t fit well because the rows are too narrow. Bottom rack has straight tines so bowls don™€™t nest well and plates slide into each other when you try to roll the rack in and out. No adjustabilityexcept for raising or lowering top rack. Very disappointed in an over $1k appliance. Positives are super quiet and cleans well.

I love how quiet it is and it does a fantastic job of cleaning but I can't fit as many dishes in a load as I could with my old dishwasher. It really is super quiet!

Does the job, but room for improvements

The entire base is plastic, seems flimsy and cheap. The insulation is not attached so it slides around and catches on stuff during the install. The interior design is better than the last generation, with a better top shelf. The unit is louder than the previous 39dBA Kitchenaid. Cleans the dishes.

New dishwasher

My new dishwasher was delivered in March. Have you ever purchased a product & been very disappointed with but it is too expensive to replace? Well I did! I have to wash dishes before I put into it or they don't always get clean so why have a dishwasher? The tines in the lower rackare so close together plates are about the only thing that fits. Tines do not fold down to accommodate cereal bowls etc. Some spots on middle rack have angles that cause dishes to slide into next spot. Racks do adjust up & down which is nice & the dishwasher is also quiet.

I will never buy another KitchenAid product. This dishwasher did not work right out of the box and KitchenAid would not send us a new one because the ™€œwarranty™€ stated that they were only responsible for repairs. They only wanted to repair this one which still is not done. I would not recommend KitchenAid because they will not stand behind their product and do the right thing.
