It works, but in its kind of useless.

Well™€¦ it works. But the SmartHQ app doesn™€™t really do anything with the flood information. It doesn™€™t set off a siren in your phone or anything when your house is flooding. It does a nice quiet little notification that if you™€™re looking at your screen - you might see. This device is very helpful to find out hours or days later exactly what time your flood occurred lol. If they work out the obvious deficiencies, then this would work great.

Easy to use, actually works

I really liked this product. It was very easy to set up and to install the app. The app has a user friendly interface as well. I can confirm it definitely detects leaks. I purposefully put it where I have a leak (as you can see) that™€™s in the process of being repaired. Before I could even leave the room the app was notifying me it detected a leak. I™€™d recommend labeling the sensors in the app and also putting a number or a sticker on them as a way of identifying. The only issues I had were getting the plastic and battery strip off. You™€™ll need a screwdriver for the battery strip removal. It™€™s very snug in there so you can™€™t just pull it out, you have to undo the panel a little - be careful with that because the screws are very small and have even smaller washers on them.

Pretty useless

Thanks for letting me try this but this is very disappointed. I™€™m a tech savvy person and this sensor is quite frustrating. I must have gotten a defective set because I have tried many times to link the sensor with the app and it kept saying undetected. The light on the sensor is blinking as written in the manual and I put them right next to each other.

My family and i like to travel a lot. Knowing I™€™ll be alerted if we have a leak while we are gone is such a comfort. The setup was fairly easy and straightforward. We have one set up under the sink, the washer & the hot water heater.

I never knew I really needed the Smart HQ water leak sensor and now I can™€™t imagine not having it. We™€™ve suffered many leaks in the past and it™€™s always too late and the damage is done by the time we realize. This water leak sensor connects to your phone and will send you a notification in real time if it detects a leak giving you the chance to fix it before it causes massive and expensive damage.  This Leaksmart product was awesome and so easy to set up this leak designed and smaller sensors make it easy for placement under troubled areas or areas that you would be worried about water leaking. The notification for the alarm if water is sensed is immediately to your phone. I™€™ll definitely be adding more sensors to my house, being away and knowing if something happens or not is a piece of mind
