The roller tray is wobbly, all 3 wheels are not on bottom of microwave. Repairman came and stated that this is how it is designed? Is that true? We have never had a microwave where the roller tray and glass plate wobble.

The turntable was wobbly . I had to bend the center higher so that it would not ride on spinner that held it up so that it was not making contact with the rollers. The old style was open and not solid as on this model.

When my over the stove Advantium oven stopped working after 9 yrs. we knew we would miss it. So I tried to get another like it. The 240 volt one is no longer available. I spent a lot on an electrician to put in a new plug, but I wanted the same dial to set the heating time. I love the way I can set the time and functions for the microwave. I seldom use the oven function.

We replaced our older Advantium oven when we remodeled our kitchen. We love the flexibility of the oven for microwaving, baking and convection, especially the preset capabilities for different foods. I also really appreciated the racks for heating multiple dishes at the same time for the holidays. We do wish that the clock feature could be set so that the clock displays all of the time rather than turn itself off to save power. Why have a clock at all if it isn't being displayed?

I bought this to replace the same microwave that was a GE Cafe. Love the Advantium Speed Cook, but I cannot believe that the clock is designed to go off after 30 seconds. The photo is misleading - the clock is ONLY on if you are actively using the microwave. The "reason" is to save energy, but this is a terrible excuse for a little LED clock.

Replaced a GE Cafe Advantium 120. Unfortunately the Advantium isn't available in the Cafe line so had to go with the Profile series. Operates similar to Cafe but with a different handle (which is different than the handles on our other Cafe and Monogram appliances). So far so good. Concerned about the latch, the plastic doesn't seem durable. Time and use will tell. AND THE CLOCK DOESN'T STAY ON. I read about the lack of that feature. Really unfortunate.

We hooked up our new microwave, used it for 90 seconds, it worked perfectly. Went to heat up our food for another 30 seconds and it made a horrendous noise, there are what appear to be sparks or something coming out of the side behind the control panel, and there's a terrible smell. For more than $1300 for a microwave, I expect it to work for more than 90 seconds and also not be a potential fire hazard.

I just purchased this unique Advantium GE Profile microwave. So far, I'm satisfied with the features except for one thing. The clock doesn't display except when the door is opened. I would expect that a high-end product such as this would be able to display the clock. Other than this, it will do just about anything.

Product is excellent EXCEPT for the feature that turns off the display after 30 seconds. The amount of energy that is saved from turning off the DIGITAL display in infinitesimal. The inconvenience is orders of magnitude greater.

Very impressed with this "do-it-all" microwave. Build quality is nice. Controls seem a little complicated at first, but you'll find them to actually be laid out quite logically. The 900W cooking process is more even than other microwave ovens that just blast away. Advatium convection tech is excellent. No need for a countertop toaster oven anymore.

120V Advantium not worth the money

Microwave performance is average or slightly below because of the lower power level. Advantium performance is substantially below the older 240V model as it cannot use both the Halogen lamps and microwave simultaneously. Automatic time settings are insufficient, Lack of a visible clock when unit is not running is very disappointing.

This is our 2nd Advantium, our other one was about 20 years old! Couldn't find the same 240v model as a micro combo, looks like they just went to "wall oven". This 120v takes longer to bake/cook than the previous but still love the size and options! Hope it lasts as long.

The installers scratched the unit and bent the framework. It has an open grill below the turntable where any spillage disappears - unable to be cleaned up! Oven interior is wiped out after every use, but walls are easily stained and I had to use oven cleaner on the interior to clean it. The (non stainless plastic) handle broke, and the plastic control panel separated from the unit recently (the screws holding everything together are screwed into plastic parts which disintegrated). Performance, features and capacity are excellent.

Unit has a poor quality of construction. Specially with regard to the latches on the door, the lack of glass cover over the halogen lamp, and multiple perforations in the interior of the oven, allowing food and splatter to accumulate in unreachable places. The speed cook function is a joke! We previously owned the 240vac 30 amp over range unit. Had it for 20 years. At 120vac and 15 amps, you are extremely limited in what combination of heat sources you can use. No comparison to our previous unit.

I find I do like the panel better than the little rubber buttons, easier to clean and wipe down. I just washed everything and looking forward cooking tomorrow in it.

This rating is based on our old 240V Advantium Over The Range Microwave. The replacement is the 120V and we haven't had the electric connection changed yet so we aren't using it. When we ordered the replacement from Sears (we have the insurance thru them) they did not offer a true 240V replacement. It said it was discontinued. So we got the version that they offered. However, with our new house we did just order a new 240V Advantium. I chose that over the Bosch equivalent because our old 240V lasted about 19 years. I LOVED it. Used it daily. In fact hardly used my range or oven because we used it all of the time. So I paid more for the Advantium 240V and gave up $750 Bosch refund money based on my love for my old unit. Hope the new one lives up to it's predecessor.

I purchased this oven 5 years ago to replace my original Profile convection microwave. This unit has performed flawlessly for the last 4 years. As a new unit, there was a defective power supply in the first year, but it hasn™™t has a single issue since. I waited for 5 years to review this oven as many of the initial reviews were critical of its reliability. I™™d prefer the 240 model, and if you can swing it, I™™d highly recommend it. Otherwise, this thing roasts better than a traditional oven. Everything is perfect. Unbelievable performance.
