The top metal grates are 3" above the burners/flame. So its another 1/2 inch away from the flame when the pot/pan is on the grate. Really Bad design. Will not purchase a range again from Frigidairs.Also want to let buyers beware of paying for installation, as the technicians that installed the range damaged the gas regulator attachment when tightening connectors with his pipe wrench then blamed me for damaging it. I noticed a gas smell when they left, shut off the main gas line and immediately contacted them. When technicians came back a week later, they told their dispatcher in spanish that I damaged it by moving the stove. It's funny that they replaced the entire stove for free if I damaged it, right!?!

I like the look of this range for its price point.Works great, only comment is that I feel like the numbered scale for the knobs is higher than needed or if it makes sense it is hotter than needed for my cooking at least, I never go over 3 at the highest when cooking and it goes up to 6, which I only use to boil at.

This new range replaces a 15 year old range and I could not be happier! The efficiency is so much better and the flames burn so much hotter. Inside, burns very evenly and quick enough that I do not have to wait for food to eat. This was an awesome purchase and I will shout out to the heavens if needed! Spokesperson, if needed?

We've previously had an electric and before that a gas stove. This particular stove seems to have a much more solid and heavy duty burner top, and the burner controls operate more smoothly. Also, the oven control is simple and easy to operate. So far, we are very happy with it.
